Apoyo técnico para el análisis de viabilidad y conceptualización de un sistema de ingeniería inversa basado en tecnologías de escaneado 3D (Project Rosetta)
Abstract:
In this project, EPMAN conducted an in-depth analysis of AEGIS’s reverse engineering requirements. AEGIS manages a significant number of modification projects involving in-service train fleets, often with limited or outdated design information and little involvement from the original manufacturer. Based on this analysis, EPMAN reviewed the state of the art in commercially available 3D scanning devices and evaluated complementary technologies, such as 360° cameras and virtual reality, to enhance the visual context of the process.
With the technical support of the University of Oviedo, the work culminated in the conceptual design and cost estimation of a complete system enabling AEGIS to significantly reduce the time and cost associated with its reverse engineering activities.
