Abstract

This project was carried out at Triditive, which aimed to incorporate an additional 3D printing method for metallic materials. It focuses on the design and development of the powder recoating system (the mechanism for spreading powder layers) for a Binder Jetting machine, a process in which a binding agent is selectively deposited onto layers of metal powder. The project includes a review of the state of the art in the process and its raw materials (powder and binder), as well as the development of the system.
